This is my multi-year project to visit all of Thailand’s 77 Provinces using cars, boats, trains and aeroplanes.
All Along the Western Border
This epic journey began in the far North of Western Thailand on the border with Myanmar. Mae Hong Son is remote and sparsely populated, and is home to many of Thailand’s indigenous hill tribes. Also some of Myanmar’s hill tribes who I met in a refugee camp. Moving ever southward this first part of the journey took me through 17 provinces to the Muslim South on the border with Malaysia.
